Is there a way to embed Timecode into the recording with my ZM-1 microphone?

Sadly, the microphone does not generate timecode metadata in its files. Therefore, you will not be able to see any timecode information directly. The original time stamp is not recorded or embedded in the files during the recording process. To synchronize files in post-production, you will need to rely on other methods such as using a separate external timecode generator or syncing based on audio cues or visual references. This means that you will need to set up and use an external timecode source to get the precise synchronization between multiple files.

In a recent test conducted by our team, we explored the efficiency and accuracy of using Tentacle timecode technology to synchronize audio recordings. The test involved comparing the synchronization capabilities of Tentacle with both Zylia and an external device, specifically the Zoom H6.

Here is the recommended workflow based on our test results:

1. Begin by synchronizing the Tentacle device to your computer or iPad using the Tentacle app.
2. Connect the Tentacle to the Zoom H6 using a mini jack cable.
3. Launch the Tentacle Recording app on the iPad, ensuring that the ZM-1 microphone is connected.
4. Record audio simultaneously on both the Zoom H6 and the iPad, selecting the synchronized Tentacle device on the iPad.
5. After recording, utilize Tentacle Studio on a computer to embed the timecode into the audio files.

By following this workflow, users can successfully synchronize both recordings in software such as Pro Tools, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of audio tracks. The Tentacle timecode technology simplifies the synchronization process, offering a reliable and efficient solution for audio professionals.

Overall, the integration of Tentacle timecode technology streamlines the audio synchronization process, providing users with a convenient and effective method for aligning multiple audio recordings.
