Plugin formats and compatible DAWs

In this article, we described available formats of ZYLIA plugins and compatible DAWs.

Plugin formats

ZYLIA plugins are available in the following formats:

• VST
• VST3
• AU
• AAX

VST (Virtual Studio Technology) is a format created by Steinberg in the nineties. First plugins in this format were used within Cubase, right now it is widely used and supported by many DAWs. 

AU (Audio Unit) is a format created by Apple and compatible only with macOS and iOS operating systems.

AAX (Avid Audio eXtension) is created by Avid and used exclusively in Pro Tools.

Compatible DAWs

ZYLIA Studio PRO and ZYLIA Ambisonics Converter are plugins designed to work with 19-channel ZYLIA ZM-1 recording. Both plugins have multichannel input (19/16 channels) and multi-channel output (up to 24 channels) therefore you should keep in mind to choose Digital Audio Workstation that handles such number of channels.
